Design brief
Help students and young adults put their phones down at bedtime so they get the sleep they planned.
01 · Brief
Scrolling in bed, out of habit.
I started from my own Figma designs, with one twist: opening TikTok means waking Sleepy.
02 · Directions
Six ways to wake a moon.
Agents built three wake-up moments at once, then I tried three more, down to Sleepy’s face.
03 · Prototype
A prototype, one night long.
Clickable, then fine tuned: Sleepy falls asleep, Z’s drift from his mouth and the sky turns to dawn.
Tap, lift or shake.
Checked against

test questions I answered myself, after three test agents tried a night.
From Sleep now to first light.
What worked
- 01Sleep now was found straight away.
- 02All three agents swiped home without a hint.
- 03Five dots read clearly as five taps.
What I’d change
- 01Say why TikTok won’t open, in Sleepy’s voice.
- 02Let Sleepy react more with every tap.
- 03Test the pull with people, not agents.
